Step-by-Step Process for Custom Sauna Orders

Consultation Meeting

Initial discussion with the client to understand their sauna requirements, preferences, and space constraints

Questionnaire Form

Client fills out a detailed questionnaire to capture specific needs such as sauna size, desired features (e.g., seating layout, heating type), and any special requests.

Provide Floor Plans or Photos

Client provides floor plans or photos of the area where the sauna will be installed, or examples of sauna styles they like for inspiration.

Design- 2D Floor Plan & 3D Rendering Options

Step 1
Approval and Deposit

Once the design is approved, a 50% deposit is required to initiate production of the custom sauna. Build-up dates and production timelines are communicated to the client during this stage (typically 8- 16 weeks depending on design complexity).

Step 2
Production

The sauna is manufactured according to the approved design and specifications. Regular updates are provided to the client regarding the progress of their order.

Step 3
Completion and Final Payment

Upon completion of the custom sauna, the client is notified. A final invoice is sent out 1 day prior to dispatch. Rendering Cost Deduction: The $400.00 residential rendering cost, if applicable, is deducted from the final invoice.

Step 4
Delivery

Depending on the client's location and once payment is received in full, the sauna is dispatched next business day. Delivery times vary: same-day delivery from dispatch for local areas, while interstate deliveries typically take 7-10 days.

Options Installation by S+M Team

If the client opted for installation by S+M we take care of delivery, installation, and commissioning. We only work with Trusted and fully licensed trade professionals including builders, plumbers, and electricians ensure seamless installation.

If installation is handled by the client, detailed step-by-step instructions are provided. Clients are encouraged to contact the company for any assistance needed during the installation process.

Post-Installation Support

After installation, ongoing support is available for any questions or issues that may arise with the custom sauna.

1. Consultation
1.1 Initial Consultation

S+M Recovery initiates an in-depth discussion with the client to understand their sauna requirements, preferences, and spatial constraints.

1.2 Client Communication

Effective communication is pivotal. We encourage clear dialogue to ensure alignment with client expectations throughout the project.

2. Questionnaire
2.1 Detailed Requirements

Clients must complete a detailed questionnaire outlining specific needs such as sauna size, seating layout, heating preferences, and any special requests.

2.2 Accuracy

The client is responsible for providing accurate information to facilitate the design and construction process.

3. Provide Floor Plans or Photos
3.1 Visual Aids

Clients are encouraged to provide floor plans, photos of the installation area, or examples of preferred sauna styles to assist in the design phase.

3.2 Inspiration

Client-provided samples or references help ensure the final sauna design meets their aesthetic and functional requirements.

4. Design and Rendering Options
4.1 Rendering Services

Options include 2D and 3D renderings of the proposed sauna design.

  • Cost: Residential 2D or 3D designs incur a fee of $400.00. Commercial projects are quoted individually.
  • Rendering Cost Deduction: The $400.00 residential rendering fee is deductible from the final invoice upon completion of the sauna if rendering services are chosen.
4.2 Feedback and Adjustments

Client feedback is incorporated to refine the sauna design until final approval.

5. Approval and Deposits
5.1 Confirmation

Upon approval of the final sauna design, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required to initiate production.

5.2 Production Timeline

Build-up dates and timelines (typically 8-16 weeks) are communicated based on design complexity and current workload.

5.3 Refund Policy
  • Deposit Refunds: The 50% deposit is non-refundable once production commences, except under exceptional circumstances.
  • Cancellation Before Production: Full deposit refund if cancelled before production starts.
  • Cancellation by S+M Recovery: Full deposit refund if we are unable to fulfill the order due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Rendering Costs: The $400.00 residential rendering fee is non-refundable once rendering services commence, unless cancellation occurs before rendering initiation.
  • Approval of Refunds: Approved refunds are processed promptly, with funds reimbursed within 7 business days from approval.
5.4 Notification

Clients are promptly notified of any changes to production timelines or unforeseen delays affecting delivery.

6. Production
6.1 Manufacturing

Our products are sustainably sourced and manufactured either overseas with our partners or locally in Melbourne, aligning with project specifications and sustainability goals.

6.2 Progress Updates

Regular updates regarding production stages keep clients informed throughout the manufacturing process.

7. Completion and Final Payment
7.1 Notification

Clients receive prompt notification upon completion of their custom sauna.

7.2 Final Invoice

A final invoice detailing remaining balances, including deductions for rendering costs, is issued 1 day before dispatch.

8. Delivery
8.1 Dispatch

Delivery occurs upon full payment receipt and is scheduled based on client location.

  • Delivery Times: Local deliveries may facilitate same-day dispatch, while interstate deliveries typically take 7-10 days.
8.2 Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are included in the final invoice unless otherwise specified.

8.3 Inspection

Clients must inspect saunas upon delivery. Any damage or discrepancies must be reported to S+M Recovery within 48 hours for resolution.

9. Installation Options
9.1 Professional Installation by S+M Team

Includes delivery, installation, and commissioning by licensed professionals (builders, plumbers, electricians) ensuring a seamless process.

9.2 Client Installation

Detailed instructions are provided for clients opting for self-installation.

  • Support: Our team remains available for consultation and support during client-led installation.
10. Warranty
10.1 Coverage

S+M Recovery warrants all custom saunas free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for [X years/months] from delivery date.

10.2 Defect Resolution

For warranty claims:

  • Timely Response: We aim to address defects within 7 business days of notification.

These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

ACL guarantees regarding quality, fitness for purpose, and performance apply to goods and services provided by S+M Recovery.
